  What a great experience it was to tour the Cowichan Maritime Museum. We met some of the members who graciously answered our questions and shared their valuable experience with us. I was interested in wooden boats, and there were at least ten different types on display, some vintage restored boats and some new/under construction models. Want to know how to build your own lapstrafe wood boat, they can teach you. Don't forget to buy a ticket to win a fantastic hand built boat.

  They do such a great thing and teach so many people so much. They build really nice boats and the shop for members is a godsend for some of these sailors with wooden boats.
